MEET THE THERAPIST
Beth Abney, Licensed Massage Therapist and Corrective Exercise Specialist

"My primary goal is to help people be healthy, active and pain free."
People often comment on how different a massage session is with Beth than with other therapists they have seen before. Being a Certified Precision Neuromuscular Therapist is what sets her apart from other massage therapists. The training involved in certification requires therapists to develop clinical problem solving and analytical skills, as well as functional and anatomical knowledge that far exceeds the level of the average massage therapist.
Beth trained with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and became a certified personal trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist. Personal training became important to Beth after seeing all the latest pain research pointing to exercise as one of the most valuable tools in decreasing the level of pain people experience.
The following is a list of a few of Beth's official achievements.

"Beth is truly tops in her field. This is more than just a simple massage. She takes the time to listen to you when you explain where your problem areas are. She also tries to find the root cause of any pain. I have chronic neck, shoulder, low back, hip and leg pain. After 5 surgeries and countless medications, I , by far, get more relief from a session with Beth than any of the medications. She is by far the best massage therapist in town."

"At a students recommendation, I had a massage with Beth this week that was one of the best I have had. She is incredibly knowledgeable. Her knowledge comes from deeply listening to her clients for years through her hands. I had a lot of pain. She was able to work WITH it rather than trying to wrestle it to the ground with force. What works for me is in the balance of listening to what my body is saying and responding confidently, skillfully and appropriately."

"Being the the Military, I've been and lived all over the world. Beth is the single best Massage Therapist I've encountered. I give her my highest endorsement."
