    Beth Abney, Licensed Massage Therapist

Beth is the owner and operator of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks which opened its doors in 2009.  Beth's success is largely due to her advanced training and her innate ability to relate to people.

People often comment on how different a massage session is with Beth than with other therapists they have seen before.  Beth’s certification as a Precision Neuromuscular Therapist is what sets her apart from other massage therapists.  The training involved in certification requires therapists to develop problem solving and analytical skills as well as anatomical knowledge that far exceeds the level of the average massage therapist.

Beth spent the first two years of her massage career learning the art of relaxation while working in an exclusive Cincinnati day spa.

Then she made the switch to working in a medical office alongside a local chiropractor, where she devoted three years to working with people suffering from a wide range of injuries and painful ailments including spinal problems, whiplash, disc issues, and sciatic pain to name a few.

Today Beth blends relaxation and medical massage into one highly effective and enjoyable experience.  Her clients get the best of both worlds.  She has had a lot of success in treating people with headaches, low back pain, carpal tunnel symptoms, TMJ dysfunction, range of motion issues and much more.

In 2013, Beth trained with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and became a certified personal trainer.  Personal training became important to Beth after seeing all the latest pain research pointing to exercise as one of the most valuable tools in decreasing the level of pain people experience.  Her goal is to help people stay active and healthy using a variety of therapeutic methods, and to work with people one on one to achieve their personal wellness goals.

The following is a list of a few of Beth's official achievements.

    • Certified by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation
